Noxent Case Study

  Full Version
Noxent is a pioneer and market leader in the field of managed IT services. Since 2000, Noxent has acquired many customers in the small and medium market spaces in various business verticals, reducing their overhead and enhancing their ability to compete in their respective markets since their information technology needs are managed by budget-conscious experts.

Challenges:

  • Manage multiple Internet carriers at the data center without the complexity and costs of BGP
  • Guarantee Internet access from data center to customer sites for management and voice services
  • Secure continuous access to data center-based hosted services for customers
  • Ensure that service level agreements are respected
  • Provide a customer-based solution for guaranteeing local Internet access

Solution:

  • LB-2500E models were deployed to proactively manage carrier links at the data center
  • The LB-550E has been selected as the default customer premise model
  • Three carrier services were selected (a 10Mbps fiber, a DSL circuit and a cable modem carrier)
  • Elfiq’s SitePathMTPX VPN resilience feature has been implemented along with Elfiq’s Geolink geographic balancing for specific customers.

Benefits:

  • Internet access for data and voice services is uninterrupted even when a carrier link fails
  • Customer-related managed services are delivered at all times, so service level agreements are respected
  • Customer sites with LB-550E have uninterrupted Internet access for both local use and MSP services
  • VPNs between data center and customer sites are resilient, carrier downtime does not reset VPNs

“Elfiq’s products are the key for Noxent to deliver our value and promise to our customer. This investment has paid for itself a number of times and we turned it into a profit center by implementing Elfiq units with SitePathMTPX at customer sites, giving us a competitive edge and higher customer satisfaction ratings.”
