Founded in 1993, the Noble organization is comprised of strategic business units that specialize in the lodging and hospitality real estate sector. Noble Management Group, the organization’s award winning operating division, currently manages more than 9,000 hotel and resort guest rooms throughout the United States which are affiliated with Marriott, Hyatt, Starwood, Hilton, and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Challenges:

• Two Internet carriers to be managed at the corporate office without the complexity and costs of BGP
• Failover process was a manual process, resulting in downtime
• Bandwidth management was not optimal so IP services such as Internet access, videoconferencing and VoIP suffered from saturation

Solution:

• LB-1500E models were deployed at the corporate head office and the datacenter
• LB-1100E units were selected for the hotel properties
• Elfiq products were selected for their SitePathMTPX technology feature
• Elfiq’s professional services team complemented Noble Investment’s efforts on the project

• SitePathMTPX maintains site-to-site VPNs even when a carrier link fails, reducing downtime and productivity losses. The built-in QoS feature is used to optimize traffic within SitePathMTPX.
• Network services are always up without the costs and complexity of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol)
• Bandwidth is optimized therefore all links are used to prevent saturation and service degradation
• Reporting features enhance the ability to compare with ISP reports
