Performance Impact

Question: What performance impact should I expect when activating optional features?

Answer:

The configuration items below may impact the Link LB's defined performance specifications. The impact may be up to 35% of the values depending on the integration and type of traffic.

  • Masquerading
  • QoS
  • SitePathMTPX
  • A very large number of configured ACLs (100+)

Some values listed in our specification matrix (including Throughput, Number of Sessions per second or Total Number of Sessions) should be considered "peak" values.
Your average usage over a long period of time should stay below the specified value in order for all features to work as expected.

Not all "peak" values can be reached simultaneously due to hardware limitations.

For example, maximum throughput will not be reachable while a Link LB unit is handling the maximum number of new sessions per second.
