In the Elfiq Operating System (EOS) release 3.4.3 and higher, it is possible to increase the local network resiliency for higher availability and higher bandwidth by grouping multiple physical ethernet ports into a single dynamic network interface.
This technology is also known in different names/versions as EtherChannel, link aggregation (LAG), link bonding, and 802.3ad. Available algorithms are failover, round-robin and dot3ad.
As an example, bonding two 100Mbps ports can increase the throughput up to 200Mbps.
Note: the switch connected to the Elfiq unit must also be configured to support Ethernet bonding.
