Hospitality PCI compliance

ElfiqHospitality organizations are required to comply with the PCI DSS Standard from the Payment Card Industry PCI Security Standards Council depending on the methods and suppliers employed for processing customer credit cards. A part of this standard concerns the networking infrastructure employed and how it is secured.

Elfiq Networks' Link Balancer products do not add any complexity or additional items to audit in order to achieve compliance with the PCI DSS standard. As the Elfiq Products do not perform any security functions such as firewalling and do not require any modifications to the existing network, no security policies are modified. This is a direct benefit of Elfiq's innovative Layer-2 approach.

When implementing an Elfiq Link Balancer like in the picture on the right, both networks can effectively share all the available bandwidth without security concerns as traffic from one network cannot be seen by the other network. The Elfiq appliance is located in the public area of the network, handling traffic which has been processed by each gateway device’s security policies.
