Scenarios include:

• Mobile response units: By adding 3G mobile links with WiMAX and WiFi capabilities to rapid response vehicles, a government can ensure IP communications regardless of their location when a disaster occurs.
• Naval communications operations: A government agency has selected Elfiq’s LB-1500E product to proactively manage available IP links on their vessels. With this device in place, bandwidth selection is automatic based on set rules of availability. When vessels are docked, traditional wired links are used but when at sea, satellite links are automatically selected based on location, enabling significant cost savings.
• Traffic cameras: A government department has deployed Elfiq’s LB-3000 model with the Global Geolink option to ensure that Web sites delivering road conditions are always available and able to meet demand for increased traffic based on weather conditions.
• Pandemics: A public sector health agency has deployed Elfiq’s LB-3000 combined with Global Geolink to ensure connectivity for SSL VPN users in case of a pandemic. The same agency has also deployed LB-3000 units to provide maximum availability for virus definition updates to tens of thousands of users.
• Shared Resources and Internet Access Management: A  municipality has selected Elfiq’s LB-3000 Link Balancers with Global Geolink to enable access to internal resources and the Internet, and with a second VFI,  Internet access to the public library network.
