Product upgradability

Elfiq Networks has consolidated the entry-level products onto a single hardware platform to facilitate bandwidth growth in SMB environments.  The LB-550B and LB-550E can both be upgraded via firmware to the LB-1100E so when an organization needs to bring in more carriers or throughput, the unit is upgraded versus replaced reducing costs and complexity.

When this upgrade is performed, the configuration of the unit is not removed so after installing the new license key, the unit works as before the upgrade.  All is required from there is adding the information based on the carriers added/removed/modified and it is business as usual.
