Pigeon faster than ISP?

elfiq winston pigeonThis story was published a while ago by most news outlet (BBC link & Tom's Hardware link) and is quite interesting to learn that a pigeon carrying a USB drive was faster to deiver the data than the ISP to do the full file transfer.

In this context where carrier links are not as fast as they could be, organizations can use Elfiq's SitePathMTPX technology to bond multiple carriers together in a point to point setup.  That way multiple carriers can be used concurrently to transmit data effectively multiplying the capacity.  Low-cost links can be used to acheive this as welll since they typically are asymetrical like ADSL or cable modems and their respective upload speeds are not very high.  This way a few low-cost links can be used to create a "virutal large link".  3G linls can also be used in this contect.
