 "After  the  implementation  of  a  geoclustered  remote  site offering real-time  failover, Van Eck became concerned that communications with that  site  was  hampered by a single T3 uplink from headquarters. The possibility  of  unnecessary failovers and failbacks loomed large, and the  addition of a second T3 brought new problems. We needed different load-balancing logic depending on protocol and source IP: some traffic was to be evenly balanced across all active connections; other traffic needed  to  go  only  over  a preferred connection unless there'd been connection  failure;  still  other  traffic  (geocluster "heartbeats") needed a static path with no balancing.

Only  Elfiq's  LLB  line offered the full functionality necessary, so even  if  price  had  been  no object, Elfiq still would have been our choice  --  but the affordability of the Elfiq was impressive as well.

During   installation   and   beyond,  Elfiq  support  engineers  were responsive around the clock, and developers even hotfixed the OS after we found a site-specific need that wasn't in the current release.
