We just released to partners and customers today EOS 3.4.0 for all balancer models from the LB-500 to the LB-4000E. What's new and exciting in this release:

Elfiq Link Balancers & Firewalls/Security

When designing the Link Balancer products back in 2003/4, Elfiq decided to not include a firewall as this function is already handled by a unit in place at 99%+ of customers and prospects. Bringing this feature and the overhead on the system was not worth the investment.

The meaning of the name "Elfiq"

One non-technical question we get a lot at Elfiq “What does the word Elfiq mean?”. The answer is quite simple, when we started the company back in 2002, our initial focus was on network security and finding a company name with “security” in it was challenging plus domain names were hard to locate for our ideas.
